Officers & Committees

The activities of the IESS are conducted by officers and committees charged with the various responsibilities of the club.  If you have input and ideas about a topic, call one of the committee members.

Contest and Equipment Committee (C&EC)

The purpose of the Contest Committee is to establish dates for IESS contests, to coordinate with the NWSS for assistance at other NWSS contests, and to keep the club members informed regarding contests and contest results.

In addition this committee is to evaluate the needs of the club for winches and support equipment, to maintain the equipment in good working order, to keep supplies of spares available, and to transport equipment to contests and other flying activities.

Finance Committee

The purpose of the Finance Committee is to evaluate the financial needs of the club, establish budgets, recommend dues rates, and establish fund raising sources.

    Not active at this time.

Mentors

Not really an official committee, these are experienced sailplane and electric pilots who have expressed a willingness to help newcomers to learn to fly and to help less experienced pilots improve their skills.
