Q:  Where and when does the club meet?

A:  Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at the Shari's Restaurant at 320 N. Sullivan. We gather at 6:30 for food and hanger flying with the meeting beginning at 7:00 pm. See the Calendar Page for upcoming meeting times and upcoming scheduled events.

Q:  Do I have to be an AMA member to join IESS?

A:  Yes you do have to be an AMA member to join IESS events.  More importantly, however, you must be an AMA member to fly at club events.  AMA membership is inexpensive and provides so many benefits, there is little reason not to join.  Click here to go to the AMA web site to join on line or download an application.  Applications are also available at Hands on Hobbies and B&B Hobbies.

Q:  I have lots of questions about model sailplanes and electric powered models.  Where can I find more information?

A:  IESS club members are always ready to offer advice and opinions and are a phone call or email away.  Check out the Members page. Try one of the hobby shops listed on the links page, and check out the Soaring FAQ web site.

Q:  Is there a sailplane or electric on-line forum?

A:    Click here to go to RC Soaring.com and click on Discussion Boards for an excellent sailplane and electric forum.  The IESS has an email-based forum in which all members are automatically registered.
