Mt. Spokane High School

Description

The tracks and fields are open to the public with lots of open ground around to launch and fly gliders or electrics.  The track is hard surfaced for touch and goes.

This is NOT an AMA insured flying site (except for the Electric Fun Fly).

This is an ideal location for the Bill Weirauch Memorial Electric Fun Fly.  See the Calendar Page for details.  Click here to see a flyer describing the event in detail.

Directions:

6015 E. Mt. Spokane Park Drive (Hwy 206), Mead, WA

Flying Conditions:

Mowed grass playing fields. Hard surfaced track for models with landing gear. Open fields all around for unlimited visibility thermal searching.

Other people use the school facilities, so be careful to not fly over other people and please exercise good judgment regarding over flying buildings and parking lots.

Watch out for the soccer and football goals, grandstands, etc. and other buildings.

The school building is open during normal school hours, so probably will not be open when the fields are available for modelers.  Fast food, gas and other facilities are available at and near the intersection of Hwy 2 and Mt. Spokane Parkway (Hwy 206).
